Maserati

reviews all Maserati models Maserati
Maserati is from Italy and builds cars which ooze style and sophistication. Built for comfort, rather than speed – although the firm's cars get faster and faster – all of the Maserati range can cover long distances with no fuss.

Maserati models

  • Maserati Ghibli

The Maserati Ghibli is part of the Italian brand's plans to hit 50,000 sales per year by 2015, and by including a brand-new diesel engine, that's a very real possibility. It's fast, economical and fun to drive, while the large boot means it is practical for families and company car drivers alike. The desirable Italian badge is simply the icing on the cake.

  • Maserati Quattroporte

The Maserati Quattroporte is Maserati's answer to the Mercedes S-Class and Porsche Panamera. Quattroporte means four doors in Italian, and there are few sports saloons on sale today that can match the Maserati Quattrosporte's unique looks outside or in. The cabin feature plush wood and expensive leather, but doesn’t pack the same amount of hi-tech gadgets as you get with a Mercedes S-Class. The drive is impressive though, especially if you can stretch to the V8 engine. Both engines sound fantastic though. The proper automatic gearbox is better than the automated manual.

  • Maserati GranTurismo

The Maserati GranTurismo is a stunning coupe that can just about seat four adults inside its stylish interior. As you’d expect for a car at this price, the Maserati GranTurismo comes with all the equipment and luxuries you could wish for, although as the boot is small, it's worth getting the tailored luggage to maximise the available space. The 4.2-litre V8 offers a welcome burst of extra power. Although the Maserati GranTurismo is more of a cruiser, it handles very well with nice, sharp steering. Keen drivers should try the more hardcore MC Stradale version which sacrifices some comforts for more power and an even sharper drive.

  • Maserati GranCabrio

Although the Maserati GranCabrio looks just like a Maserati GranTurismo with no roof, the firm refers to its stylish convertible as a model in its own right. The interior is stunning, and can be customised with a host of high quality leather and trim materials, while there are few convertibles at any price that match the GranCabrio's looks with the top down. Just like the Maserati GranTurismo, the Maserati GranCabrio suffers from a tiny boot and it isn’t the sharpest model to drive thanks to the loss of flexibility cause by loosing the roof. However, there are very few ways to look quite so stylish on the road.
